Mediation - What is it?

Mediation is a form of dispute resolution where the parties work jointly with a neutral impartial mediator to facilitate a solution without the high cost and extended time of litigation.

Mediation is a confidential, private, and voluntary process where all parties participate and attempt to achieve a solution that is acceptable. The agreement is incorporated into a court order or contractual agreement to provide protection to the parties.

If the parties are unable to reach an agreement  then the dispute can continue through the litigation process until final disposition.  Mediation is available as an alternative resolution at any point if the process and is often utilized several times in some disputes.

Arbitration is the submission of a dispute to one or more impartial persons for a final and binding decision, known as an "award." Awards are made in writing and are generally final and binding on the parties in the case.

We are accepted on the American Arbitration Association Board of Neutrals as a qualified arbitrator.
